Last week, The Wall Street Journal reported that more than 23 million immigrants are eligible to vote in November. That’s 10% of the electorate, and could be an even higher percentage of those voting on the Democratic presidential nominee.
Regardless of who wins the nomination, they’ll be taking on a president who puts immigrants in cages, who recommended shooting immigrants before they could reach the border, and who has now instituted a “Denaturalization Section” of the Department of Justice. The New York Times reports that even DOJ attorneys are afraid the administration will use this section to broadly strip citizenship from immigrants who’ve become citizens.
A second Trump term will be devastating for immigrants and the future of this country. We need to know where you stand right now:
Will you commit to voting against Trump?
