Governor Kelly Directs Flags be Flown
at Half-Staff to Honor the Victims
of the Shooting in Lewiston, ME

TOPEKA—* Today, in honor of the 18 people who lost their lives in the mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, Governor Laura Kelly has directed flags be lowered to half-staff throughout the state effective immediately until sundown on Monday, October 30, 2023. 

“The State of Kansas stands in solidarity with Maine and mourns the victims who lost their lives to this senseless act of violence in Lewiston*,” said Governor Laura Kelly. *“Our thoughts are with the families grieving their loved ones during this tragedy.”
