Recently, the Eagles Trace Retirement Home invited both me and my opponent, Mary Nan Huffman, for a debate. While she chose not to respond, I was honored to be there and engage with our community. Commitment is shown through actions, not just words, and I wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to stand up, engage with, and listen to the core concerns of this community.
The absence of my opponent speaks volumes. But let me be clear: I will always show up for you. The way we treat our elderly, our children, and our animals reflects who we are as a society. And I believe we can, and should, do better.
I also believe that we need to:
- Restore Trust: My life story proves I know what it takes to lead and to build trust. I'm focused on rebuilding the bond between the city and its people, ensuring transparency and open communication.
- Tackle Violent Crime: With my multi-point plan, I'm determined to reduce violent crime, making our district a safe haven for all residents.
- Bring Back Financial Responsibility: I pledge fiscal responsibility, aiming to alleviate the financial burdens on our residents, unlike others who've supported increased property taxes.
