Call on Congress to fund child care!

John,

I have a huge update for you on our fight to stop the disastrous child care cliff from happening.

The White House just let us know they’ve introduced a budget proposal that would provide $16 billion to fill the child care funding gap and prevent more child care providers from closing, potentially saving millions of working families from losing access to affordable child care.

If each of us takes action today, we can make sure this urgently needed proposal goes through and remind all Congressmembers that affordable child care for working families should be a main priority, not political gamesmanship. Write a letter to your Congress members now to ask them to fund child care now!

Take Action

Against a bright blue background, three young children sit and do an activity at childcare. Text above them reads 'Tell Congress to pass funding for child care!'

I’ve been asking myself how we’ve ended up here – and this is where I’ve landed. Congress is supposed to represent our interests and needs, but have been embroiled in petty political games instead of passing legislation to support hard-working families.

We work hard at our jobs everyday (some of my friends and family even have two jobs!) and are the backbone of our economy – and yet we’ve not being prioritized.

For most working families, child care is unaffordable – sometimes costing more than a year of college tuition – and very hard to find. Let’s call on Congress to do exactly what they were elected to do – represent our needs and interests by funding child care. Investing in child care is a win for families – and a win for our economy.

We need Congressmembers to cut the games and make sure this investment goes through.

Please, don’t hesitate to act on child care now, John. Your message to Congress right now can really make a difference in making sure this funding passes!

With care,
