Friend: A simple message today.

The right will tell you that it isn’t guns — it’s people.

They’ll tell you that their rights can never be infringed — while working around the clock to limit the rights of others.

They’ll tell you whatever they need to so they can distract us and get the news moving past what Wednesday’s events were — a heinous act, and a preventable one.

We can never let them normalize this.

As Veterans, we’ve carried these weapons. We’ve trained with them. We’ve used them in combat. And we can tell you, without any doubt: Weapons of war don’t belong on our streets.

Period.
