The Farm Bill is passed once every five years and is an essential piece of legislation helping our farmers and our nation’s food security. Climate-friendly agriculture has the potential of being one of the best tools in our toolbelt to bring down our climate emissions.
Here’s the thing: Republicans on the House Agriculture Committee are trying to use the Farm Bill as an excuse to roll back climate funding from the Inflation Reduction Act. But thanks to the leadership of SEEC Members Reps. Budzinski and Pingree, every single Democrat on the committee signed a letter demanding these cuts not be made.
