In 2020, the fact that women are still not guaranteed equal rights under our Constitution is shameful.

 

But we can change that. Virginia just became the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment — the mandatory threshold for a new Constitutional amendment. And, even though the amendment's approval deadline expired in 1979, the House just voted to extend the deadline. 

 

This means we now have the chance to pass the ERA once and for all — if the Senate also votes to extend the deadline. 

 

Will you urge the Senate to extend the ERA ratification deadline, so women across the country can secure equal rights under federal law?
