This Week: At A Glance

Monday, Rep Jen Kiggans (VA-02) highlighted a serious national security
implication of the crisis at the border. This fiscal year, more individuals on
the terror watch list illegally crossed the border than ever before.

She also called on the Senate to pass H.R. 2
<[link removed]>
, which the House passed in May, to help stop the flow of illegal immigrants
into our country.

Tuesday, Rep. Ashley Hinson (IA-02) continued her push to expand childcare for
the millions of Americans who do not work 9-to-5 jobs. She joined a female
Democratic colleague in introducing the "After Hours Child Care Act

" and the pair recently held atown hall

to discuss.

"We’ve heard a lot about child care challenges from healthcare providers, from
law enforcement, from other people who are not working traditional 9-to-5 jobs.
We need to find options, because we want these families to be able to stay in
the workforce. The bipartisan After Hours Child Care bill opens up existing
grant dollars for additional purposes so it can be used for child care during
non-traditional work hours."
- Rep. Ashley Hinson (IA-02)

Unlike all the Democratic women who make up the "Squad,"

every Republican woman in the House proudly co-sponsored a resolution this week
condemning Hamas for attacking Israel.

Wednesday, the bipartisan measure passed 412-10
<[link removed]>
and was the first legislative action taken by newly-elected Speaker Mike
Johnson.

Thursday, Rep. Young Kim (CA-40) honored the 2023 "Day of the Deployed" by
saluting our military men and women who are currently deployed all across the
world.
