My Older Persons' Advice and Information Fair is on Friday 3rd November

I am delighted to invite you to my Older Persons’ Advice and Information Fair on Friday 3rd November 2023, from 2pm to 5pm at Blackrod Sports and Community Centre, Greenbarn Way, Blackrod, BL3 5PG.

I am regularly contacted by local residents for advice and information, and they are often unaware of local groups that could support them and provide them with the help they need. Therefore, I am organising this event so that key organisations are brought together in one room, giving people the opportunity to tackle a wide range of issues.

The fair will bring together a variety of groups and organisations who can showcase how they can help people and what they can offer. The stalls will be a combination of intervention based support providers, catering for some health or care needs, and active or community based groups that keep people involved in everyday life.

The fair is free to attend and tea and coffee will be provided throughout the event. Free parking is also available at the venue and the centre is within walking distance of local bus stops.

I look forward to seeing you at the event where I will also be available if you wish to talk about any local or national issues. Alternatively, if you know anyone that may wish to attend, please do pass on the invitation.
