​ Being a part of the 2023 Out100 list of most impactful LGBTQ+ people is an honor.

Equality for all Americans is a necessity and I will never stop fighting for the rights and freedoms of the LGBTQ+ community.

I was proud to advocate for the Respect for Marriage Act in Congress last year, which was then signed into law. Every step we take to end LGBTQ+ discrimination is a step in the right direction, in the direction of progress.

I'm committed to repealing and fighting discrimination of all kinds, and I'm a proud supporter of the Equality Act in order to ensure LGBTQ+ folks right here in Kansas won't live in fear of discrimination under the law.
