John,
My dad was a dedicated public servant and proud union member. He instilled in me, above all else, the importance of hard work and the responsibility we share to care for one another. The lessons he taught me and his lifetime of hard work and standing up for other people have shaped my entire career.
It's hard-working Washingtonians who define our greatness. As commissioner of public lands, I've seen firsthand the dedication and resilience of the incredible union members who put out wildfires, protect our clean air and water, restore our forests, build our schools and hospitals, and so many other things that make our state a clean and healthy place to live and raise a family.
I also know that our public lands – and the communities that depend on them for good-paying jobs – are integral to our success as a state. From expanding workforce development through education and training programs to leasing out public land to construct our largest wind and solar farms ever, I’m investing in the success of hard-working Washingtonians.
Together, we can continue the legacy of hard work and compassion that makes Washington extraordinary. So, John, will you join me in my run for Washington Governor to continue my fight for hard-working people just like you by contributing $25 today?
