News from Representative Larson

Dear Friends,

As temperatures drop, energy assistance is a lifeline for thousands of Connecticut families to help heat their homes. This week, I announced $72 million in new funding we secured in Congress so households in our state have the support they need to keep the heat on this fall and winter.

Heating assistance can be used to:

  • help with heating bills,
  • restore service or prevent shut-offs,
  • repair or replace heating equipment,
  • or weatherize your home.

Homeowners and renters can apply online at ct.gov/heatinghelp or call 1-866-674-6327 for assistance.

All gas and electric utilities are required to offer payment plans to help customers who face difficulties paying their bills. Customers should contact Eversource at 800-286-2000 to see if they qualify.

I will keep fighting for the resources Connecticut needs for residents to stay warm and in their homes without breaking the bank this fall and winter. To follow what I’m working on both in Washington and in Connecticut, visit my Facebook page, follow me on Twitter, or follow me on Instagram.

Regards,
