immigrant youth 🤝 paving the way for the future our communities deserve
Friend, quick – what should I bring with me to this year’s LARGEST gathering of undocumented leaders? 🧳✈️
I’m getting ready to meet immigrant youth from across the country this weekend at United We Dream’s UndocuSummit in New Mexico. We’ll be celebrating local victories, like Arizona’s passage of Prop308, and connecting the dots in our national strategy. This gathering will be remembered as the space where 100+ immigrant leaders came together to strategize and envision the future we deserve. And, we want you to be a part of it, Friend.
For 15 years, we’ve worked with undocumented leaders to fight for the future our communities deserve. This weekend, we’re celebrating our resilience together. As UWD’s creative and video producer, I’ll be capturing every moment of this journey. (📸Follow us on socials to catch a glimpse of how we’re preparing for it).

I’m still debating what’s on my packing checklist, but I’m certain of what’s on my bucket list for the future I envision for my community. I’m working towards creating a peaceful future where all of our basic needs are met and we get to focus on thriving, not surviving, with:
Language justice for my older immigrant mom
Accessible and affordable mental health resources for my neurodivergent partner
Gender neutral bathrooms and equal opportunities for my trans and queer siblings
The list goes on and on, and we all benefit from it. One step closer to your liberation means one step closer to mine. The future we deserve is abundant, so why not sprinkle some more public pools and libraries to the wishlist as well. 💅✨ Click here to share the future YOU envision for our community, Friend.
