I’m angry, heartbroken, devastated by what we witnessed last night in Lewiston, Maine.

I’ve seen this horror in Uvalde. It’s a horror that hits you deep in your bones.

I’m sick and tired of politicians like Ted Cruz and others who are offering NOTHING but thoughts and prayers.

My heart is with the people of Lewiston. But it’s time for action – because thoughts and prayers are simply not enough.

We must get rid of politicians like Ted Cruz and the loose gun laws he supports. They are killing us.

If you agree, I hope you’ll consider pitching in a few bucks to my campaign to unseat Cruz and bring a message of gun violence prevention to the U.S. Senate.

Words are not enough. Prayers are not enough. We need to act.

I have worked tirelessly to advance legislation to reduce gun violence in Texas, and I’m ready to escalate this fight. This has got to come to an end. But I need your help.
