Our end-of-month deadline is next Tuesday, so I wanted to reach out and share an update with you on our fundraising for the month. Unfortunately, we’re just under 50% of the way to our goal ahead of our October 31st deadline, so I’m personally reaching out to our top supporters to ask you to help us reach our goal >>
Let me explain why I’m asking for your support now: When you’re running for office, there really aren’t any off years — especially when you’re a member of the House.
Every single member of the House will be up for re-election next year, including Congressman Bishop. And we’re running in Georgia — a critical swing state in 2024 — so we’re preparing for a slew of attacks, dark money, and challenges from the other side in an attempt to stall Democratic progress here and across the country.
Because Georgia went blue in 2020 to elect President Joe Biden and Senators Warnock and Ossoff, we accomplished a lot: the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, CHIPS and Science Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and more.
But since Republicans took control of the House in January, we’ve seen chaos over electing a Speaker of the House (twice!), our country brought to the brink of a shutdown, and extremist bills brought to the House floor. And they’re working overtime to flip the Senate and presidency to have a trifecta to pass whatever extremist agenda they want.
It’s up to us to stop them. If you don’t want to imagine what would happen with a Republican president, Senate, and House, please chip in to help us reach our October fundraising goal.
