Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has shown us their true colors. In 2021, the Wall Street Journal published a leaked internal document from Facebook HQ that called young users “... a valuable but untapped audience,” and former Meta employees have published evidence of the company’s wrongdoing.

In this new lawsuit, Rob and his counterparts argue that Meta has:
- Created a business model based on the addiction of young users
- Developed features aimed at luring the attention of children and manipulating their repeat usage
- Downplayed the harm experienced by users in company publications
- Misled users about the safety and effect of their platform
- Refused to address the harm they were causing
