Here are three things that you could miss this week if you're only paying attention to the presidential primaries:

  1. The Supreme Court heard arguments this week in a major reproductive access case  -- over a law passed by the Republican-controlled state legislature that could shutter abortion clinics across the state of Louisiana and set a dangerous precedent, if upheld.
  2. Nida Allam, a Run for Something candidate, made history by winning her race for Durham County commissioner. She'll be the first ever Muslim woman to serve the state of North Carolina.
  3. The deadline to file to run in Georgia is tomorrow (!!)

Who we elect to state and local positions matters. We're working with hundreds of candidates and could-be-candidates to ensure that as many people as possible have a progressive to vote for in their local elections -- but we can only do this work with your support.
