All over the country, MAGA extremists are pushing harmful legislation. Just this week, in Georgia, the state’s Supreme Court voted to uphold a six-week abortion ban.

Georgia's abortion ban is dangerous -- it rips away Georgians’ ability to make their own health care decisions before many even know they’re pregnant, threatens to throw doctors in jail, and could force women and young girls to carry out a high-risk pregnancy or flee the state for care.

And the ban is on the books despite the fact that polling shows nearly two-thirds of voters opposed it.

Despite clear opposition from voters, MAGA Republicans have pushed to rip away reproductive freedoms in states like Georgia -- and if given the opportunity, they’ll do it in as many states as they can, potentially even passing a nationwide ban. In fact, House Republicans just elected a Speaker who has made it clear that he is willing to do so.

That’s why this November’s elections are so important. Abortion is on the ballot in states across the country, and here at the DNC, we’re focused on reaching as many voters as we can ahead of Election Day, to make sure everyone knows what’s on the line and has a plan to vote accordingly.
