Global Partner Spotlight: Seeds for a Future
|
Meet one of our newest Global Partners, Seeds for a Future! Founded in 2007, this innovative organization works in rural Guatemalan communities to help families build better, healthier lives via improved nutrition and food security, and better household health and income. They do this by supplying families with the information, mentoring, and start-up materials needed to grow sustainable gardens and raise small animals for protein. Their programs also include nutrition and family health education for mothers, infants, and children, micro-business mentoring, hygiene and sanitation education, and more.
We're excited to host Seeds for a Future for our next Global Partner Series virtual event, which will take place on Thursday, November 30th, at 2:00pm ET/11:00am PT. We hope you can join us to learn more about this inspiring Global Partner! |

PopEd's Fall Theme: Climate Change |
After a summer of record-breaking heat, wildfires, and intense storms, our Population Education program chose climate change as their fall theme. Climate change is arguably the defining global challenge of our time—a warming world has impacts on food and water supply, species loss, the spread of disease, migration patterns, human health, and so much more.
This fall, the PopEd team is offering lesson plans, a webinar, and other resources for teachers to help them incorporate climate change-related content into their teaching. Check out PopEd's website for more information! |
