Dear John,

Last winter was the worst on record: U.S. beekeepers reported an average of 40%
bee colony loss. Meanwhile, 40% of wild pollinators are on the brink of
extinction. The time is NOW to save pollinators, and ourselves.

Banning bee-killing pesticides is critical to saving these essential species,
and thus our food system. But we’re up against the powerful lobbying of Big Ag,
and corrupt corporate cronies in Trump’s administration.

Despite publishing findings confirming that neonics are risky for bees, birds,
and other species, the EPA is planning to greenlight the pesticides’ continued
use. That’s why we’re driving public comments in response over the next month,
as well as pushing for state-level bans of neonics and other harmful pesticides.

Help Friends of the Earth ban bee-killing pesticides: Donate $10 or more now!

We don’t just wait for the government to act. With your support, we pick
strategic targets and run hard-hitting campaigns that win.

While we need to change regulations to protect pollinators for the long-term,
sometimes the most immediate changes happen when we directly pressure
corporations.

And because of your support fueling our tireless and strategic work, we’ve had a
lot of wins. Our corporate campaigns have convinced huge retailers and
manufacturers to stop stocking or producing neonic-containing products. After
successfully transforming over 75% of the garden industry, we’re pushing
supermarkets to stop selling food grown with bee-killing pesticides.

We start with the biggest industry leaders, because when they make changes, the
rest of the industry follows. That’s why we’re now focused on Kroger, the
country’s largest supermarket chain.

Together, we can stop bee-killing pesticides: Donate $10 or more now to Friends
of the Earth!

Together, we’re organizing to build long-term political power. We’re not just
focused on particular policies or corporate campaigns. Even our pollinator work
is just a piece of our broader fight to build a more healthy and just world.
We’re changing the systems at the root cause of our problems, not just
addressing the symptoms.

Your support enables our independence, so we can keep being bold and fearless
leaders. Together, we’re transforming our country and planet so we can all keep
living and thriving here.

Help us fight for bold, systemic transformation: Donate to Friends of the Earth
