Dear Fellow Patriot,
I don't know ANY Republicans who ran for Congress pledging NOT to change the way Washington works or promising to keep the status quo.
Yesterday, House Republicans unanimously agreed it’s time for change and elected Rep. Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) as the next Speaker of the House.
The Washington Swamp is now in panic mode and knows the jig is up. Here’s what DC elite media are saying:
Politico: “Johnson assumes speakership with few ties to K street. K street scrambles to figure out Mike Johnson.”
CNN also lamented that Rep. Johnson does not have strong connections to “Washington’s K Street lobbyists” as if the revolving door between Congress and lobbying is something Washington needs more of.
MSNBC took to criticizing Speaker Johnson’s conservative principles, like “expanded religious freedoms for Christians” and his Judeo-Christian views on life, marriage, and religious freedom.
The truth is, Speaker Mike Johnson is a patriotic American and a principled conservative in the mold of Jim Jordan, and I believe he’s the best prescription possible for a tone-deaf Washington.
Speaker Johnson is a constitutional law expert and has served as leader of the Republican Study Committee, a conservative caucus within the House, and as vice-chair of the Republican Conference.
If you didn’t catch his full remarks – about 10 minutes long – please listen to them here, unfiltered. In his closing statements, he outlines his seven guiding principles – the same principles which you and I hold dear.
Border security, addressing the debt, tackling inflation, holding Washington accountable – I’ve rolled up my sleeves and I’m already working with Speaker Johnson to make these great ideas the reality for the American people for generations to come. Buckle up, we’re taking on the DC swamp and it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
