Not many know about this, friend, which is why I want to bring it to your attention.
Friend,
The FCC is considering reinstating an Obama-era rule that would regulate internet service providers in the same manner as public utilities. These heavy-handed regulations stymie competition and create unnecessary red tape – and the American people are the ultimate losers.
Our nation has made significant progress in technological advancements since this rule was rescinded in 2017:
✅ Service providers are making frequent investments in broadband accessibility
✅ Internet speeds increased across the board
✅ High-speed internet is more affordable than ever
During the pandemic, when Americans left the office en masse and began working from home, internet providers were able to handle the sudden influx.
Europe, on the other hand, had to dial back its internet speeds to keep up with the demand, all because government regulations prevented the private sector from expanding and growing its offerings.
What concerns me the most, though, is the potential for Big Government to stifle constitutionally protected speech.
