John, It’s a little less than two weeks until Election Day, are you ready to vote? As Voices for Public Transit members across the country prepare to cast their ballots, we must remember the importance of our vote in securing investment for our public transit systems now and in the future. While we continue on the road to public transit funding, our voices remain critical in supporting initiatives that increase investment in our public transit systems. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was a historic investment in public transportation, and it’s up to us to ensure the maximum amount of those funds go into expanding and improving local public transit. Raising our voices in support of public transit now, and during the 2024 election, will show lawmakers where our priorities stand. Here are a few ways you can prepare for success as you head to the polls on Election Day: Find your polling location. Confirm you’re registered to vote. Confirm early voting and mail-in deadlines. Learn about the candidates and issues on your ballot, and whether they support public transportation. Make a plan for Election Day! You can access more voter resources by visiting https://vote.gov/.
