As the only Palestinian American member of Congress, Rashida’s voice and lived experience are more critical now than ever. Last week, Rashida spoke at a rally in Washington DC organized by Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow, and an interfaith prayer vigil and rally to hold the political establishment accountable for continuing the drumbeat of war that will lead to more lives lost, especially children in Palestine.

At the rally, Rashida reminded us that we must not lose our shared humanity. The cries of the mother in Gaza who lost all of her children in the unrelenting bombing by the Israeli government are the same cries of a father who listened to his daughter being attacked by Hamas not knowing if she is alive.
