Earlier this week, a reporter tried to ask Speaker Mike Johnson a simple question about his role trying to overturn the 2020 election:
“You help lead the effort to overturn the 2020 election results, do you—”
But before the reporter could even finish her question, the House Republican conference stopped the reporter in her tracks:
They booed her. They laughed at her. They told her to shut up. And they moved onto the next question.
John, there’s nothing funny about trying to overturn a free and fair election. And we can’t just move on from these unprecedented attacks on our democracy.
But 219 Republicans just handed Rep. Mike Johnson the Speaker’s gavel and gave him FULL control of the GOP conference.
The House GOP has officially been hijacked by the worst of the election-denying MAGA caucus.
