Since we launched our campaign, I have been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received while speaking with voters on the campaign trail.

This is why I entered the race: to talk with Orange County families, listen to the issues they face, and to address their needs when I am elected to represent them in Congress.

Being out in the field is an incredibly important part of this campaign. Our ground game is not about knocking on the most doors or only talking with people who already support me:
 
Canvassing is about having hard conversations with people with whom we don’t see eye-to-eye. It’s about getting to know the person and finding our common values, not just seeing them as a potential vote and moving on.

The conversations I've had while door-knocking have changed me more than I thought they could. I am honored to be able to do this, and I will bring the voices and stories I hear to Congress.

I knew when we launched our campaign it would always be about building a grassroots movement – a coalition of people in Orange County who are committed to making their lives and the lives of their neighbors better.

I want to keep having these conversations, because it’s this work that will help put us over the edge, keep CA-47 blue, and win back the House majority.
