Data infographic Data submitted for the 2018-19 school year is now available. Two resources are available; an infographic of the national results, and a fillable infographic form school nurses can use to compare state, district or school data with national results. NASN encourages school nurses to utilize this data to make an advocacy goal for next year; at the micro level (school), or macro level (state). Managing Chronic Health Conditions CDC Releases COVID-19 Interim Guidance for Childcare, K-12 Schools CDC has posted interim guidance of Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) for administrators of childcare programs and K-12 schools. The guidance is based on what is currently known about the transmission and severity of coronavirus disease and will be updated as needed and as additional information becomes available. CDC INTERIM GUIDANCE Improving School Community and Student Health World Hearing Day Is First Week in March World Hearing Day aims to spread the word and raise the profile of ear and hearing care. This year's theme was "Don't Let Hearing Loss Limit You. Hearing for Life." School nurses can play a role by identifying hearing loss early, and making the appropriate referrals and follow-ups. National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week is March 30-April 5 The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism invites you to shine a light on the science-based facts about drugs and alcohol during the 10th anniversary of National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW), March 30-April 5, 2020. This year, NDAFW is expecting more than 2,000 events to be held around the country and world, so please join us and register your event(s) now.
