Dear John, |
Conservation is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we created our pledge to preserve our oceans’ wildlife. The more people who step up to help, the closer we’ll be to making sustainable change.
I hope you’re inspired to sign it. Many have already. The more people who step up to help, the closer we’ll be to making sustainable change. |

Unlike their polar cousins, African penguins live on the sunny coast of southwestern Africa. They are currently listed as endangered. Human encroachment, oil spills, environmental changes, and reduced numbers of the fish they eat have severely reduced their population. |
We work with conservation partners in South Africa to help rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured penguins. These efforts have enabled many of these penguins to successfully breed in their native habitat, increasing the species population.
African penguins are just one of the ocean species we’re working with, in collaboration with our global partners. Arctic polar bears and other wildlife species also face challenges from climate change.
These are challenges we want to overcome. Taking the pledge is a step to show your commitment to protecting our oceans. One step leads to another, and then another. That’s how we inspire hope for the future. |
