New statewide contracts?

*Pharmaceutical reverse distribution contract takes effect Nov. 1*

DES has a new statewide contract 19222 for pharmaceutical reverse distribution, effective?Nov. 1.

The sole vendor on the contract is PharmaLink, Inc., in partnership with the MMCAP Infuse cooperative. We are in the process of adding Inmar Rx Solutions as another contractor.

This contract replaces?contract 05318, [ [link removed] ]?which expires Oct. 31.

Green janitorial products, supplies contract took effect Oct. 1

DES has a new statewide contract 25723 for green janitorial products and supplies, effective Oct. 1.

This contract replaces?contract 00812, [ [link removed] ]?which expired June 30.

The new contract meets environmentally preferable product requirements, including designated third-party certification and production and packaging sustainability as outlined in the Washington State Green Purchasing Guide [ [link removed] ].

*Prices will increase on signal flares and highway signal devices?*

DES will post updated pricing for Signal Flares & Highway Signal Devices, contract?03317, effective Nov. 15. The vendor increased prices by 10.5% to offset higher chemical/material costs.

*New vendor added to medical supply solutions contract?*

DES added Medline Industries to statewide contract 26323 for Medical Supply Solutions, in partnership with the Sourcewell [ [link removed] ] cooperative, effective Oct. 23.?

This contract includes green purchasing options and provides access to Medline?s full portfolio of products and services, including medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, nutrition and incontinence products.

Expiring contract?

Student transportation services contract will expire in July

DES will not renew contract 04119 for student transportation charter bus services, which expires on July 31, 2024.

Agencies will be able to purchase student transportation and charter bus services under their procurement authority using a competitive solicitation, direct buy, or other procurement method.

Leadership change in Contracts and Procurement Division

Assistant Director Jaime Rossman has stepped down after leading the division since 2018. He will serve as the Deputy Assistant Director through the end of the year to help the division transition.?

Rebecca Linville is the Interim Assistant Director.?Rebecca has been with DES since 2012, most recently serving as Deputy Assistant Director.??

Jaime will be missed by DES and many in the purchasing community.?

DES convenes a monthly Supplier Diversity Community of Practice to help purchasers implement the enterprise supplier diversity policy. Meetings are held the third Thursday?of every month from 1-2:30 p.m.?
