In the spring of 1971, I met a young woman named Hillary in the law library, and my whole life changed. It’s been an honor and a privilege to be by her side for the last fifty-plus years, and meeting the people who share her values and her determination to make things better has been no small piece of that. From Park Ridge to Little Rock to Washington to Chappaqua, and all across the country, she’s been the heart of an incredible community. I’m grateful to you for being a part of it.

Today, I’m asking you to help to celebrate Hillary’s birthday by adding your name -- and a message, if you’d like -- to her birthday card. She loves getting these notes every year, and I know it would mean so much to see your name on the list and to know that you'll join her in working for a fairer, more inclusive, democratic America
