Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in June Medical Services v. Russo -- the first major abortion rights case since Justice Kennedy retired.

Kennedy had been the Court's swing vote on reproductive rights. And who did Trump give that swing vote to?

Brett Kavanaugh. During arguments, he pushed back against the idea that requiring admitting privileges for doctors performing abortions was an undue burden on clinics. Of course, he ignored the fact that many hospitals in red states specifically refuse to grant privileges to doctors from abortion clinics.

He also ignored the fact that the Supreme Court ruled -- just 4 years ago -- that requiring admitting privileges: "provides few, if any, health benefits for women, poses a substantial obstacle to women seeking abortions, and constitutes an 'undue burden' on their constitutional right to do so."

Brett Kavanaugh was accused of sexual assault by numerous women but confirmed to the Supreme Court by the GOP Senate anyways. He has made no effort to hide his anti-choice bias and has even argued that the government has a right to prevent undocumented minors from accessing abortion and reproductive care.
