Last week, PublicSource published a story that explored the public input and transparency practices of 10 City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County boards and commissions.

Despite the fact that a pandemic-driven state law allowing panels to conduct virtual-only meetings expired two years ago, we found that some were still keeping the public out.

After the story went live, the Pittsburgh Public Schools board and the Urban Redevelopment Authority announced both will resume in-person public meetings next month.
