Team — Throughout the chaos of the House GOP trying to replace their Speaker of the House, there has been one constant:

Elise Stefanik.

She’s a MAGA extremist, Republican loyalist through and through, and she cares more about the interests of Donald Trump and her Republican colleagues than the pressing, urgent needs of New Yorkers.

Today, she reached a new level: she nominated the new Speaker, Mike Johnson, on the floor of the House after over three weeks of chaos.

Mike Johnson is about as extreme as they come. He helped mastermind Trump’s plot to overturn the 2020 election. He supports an extreme abortion ban and cuts to Social Security and Medicare. He opposes gay marriage and rights for the LGBTQ community. And Elise Stefanik will stand strong behind him no matter what.

One other thing? She’s named Pat her top target to defeat next year at the ballot box.

First, she congratulated Steve Scalise, a far-right Republican leader, when he was picked by the Republican Caucus as Speaker-Designate…

Then, when he dropped out and the House GOP selected an even more extreme candidate for Speaker, Jim Jordan, she rallied around him!

But when the GOP caucus deemed Jim Jordan unfit to be Speaker, Stefanik didn’t hesitate to support the next Speaker-designate, Tom Emmer — the Republican who led the National Republican Congressional Committee last year. As the organization in charge of defeating Pat, Emmer failed… twice!

After he quickly dropped out of the race, Stefanik quickly rallied around the new pick — Mike Johnson.
