Let’s get spooky and then take on Portland’s climate villains.

Reminder that this Friday, October 27 is  Portland’s climate justice themed Halloween party. Join us from 3-6pm at Green Anchors (8940 North Bradford St.) for some family fun with trick or treating, pumpkin carving, a costume contest, a giant puppet performance, and more. Let’s celebrate all of the important climate justice work happening in the city!

RSVP

On Friday, November 10 rally with us against Portland’s two giant climate villains: NW Natural and Zenith Energy. From 3-5pm we’ll gather at the DEQ Headquarters (700 NE Multnomah St) to call on state agencies to stop standing silently by while these two fossil fuel corporations threaten the health and safety of Portland communities.

Zenith Energy runs oil trains through our neighborhoods and oil tankers through our river, threatening to explode and spill. NW Natural funds false and misleading advertisements that greenwash its dangerous fuels and restrict electrification options. Our leaders have to make them stop.

If you’re a young climate organizer and would like to help us prepare for the rally, join the prep session and training on November 6 from 5:30-8pm at the 350 PDX Workshop Warehouse (3625 N Mississippi Ave). For more information on the prep session or the rally, email Breach Climate Justice Movement Legal Fellow Josie Moberg.

Join us in demanding that Oregon leaders act now for our health, safety, and climate!
