Dear Challenge Success Community,

Seeing so many of you in person this month brought me (and all of our staff) so much joy. Between our fall conferences, our two webinars in September, and our fall Board of Directors and Advisory Council meetings, I have had the chance to hear many stories of the hard work schools and families are doing to support well-being, engagement, and belonging for students across the country and beyond.

At the same time, I know we have been feeling the impact of the conflicts occuring in the US and around the world. Our hearts are with all of the people who are suffering, and we continue to hope for peaceful outcomes and safety for all of the children in harm’s way. If you’re looking for resources during this difficult time, here are a few that I turn to when I’m in need of support:

Children and teens will look to the trusted adults in their lives for reassurance and stability, and it’s our responsibility to offer them factual information and historical context. While you offer them that stable foundation, please remember to take care of yourself and to reach out to friends and colleagues for support.

Sincerely,

Megan Pacheco, Executive Director

Building Momentum in Your School Community

One of the best ways to open conversations about students is through survey data. Surveys are an integral part of how we work with schools as they provide valuable insight into the student experience that we can then use to identify which levers the school might adjust to get the biggest impact.

Likewise, we know that sustained change to improve student well-being, engagement, and belonging doesn't happen overnight. It often requires time, nudges, and plenty of interactions to get it to happen and stick. Learn more about our School Program and building momentum in your school community for this important work.
