Jessica wants to ensure she’s best representing and addressing the needs of California’s 3rd District, so every response we get helps us move this campaign forward!
Over half of our respondents, 52%, listed affordable healthcare as one of their top priorities, and we couldn’t agree more. Too many of us struggle to afford necessary or even preventive care. This also ties in with the overall affordability crisis we’re seeing across the country, but especially here. Wages are stagnating while costs of necessities from healthcare to housing and even our groceries continue to rise.
30% of respondents also called out inflation and Social Security as concerns. All these issues connect to the others. We need to ensure that our seniors can afford to stay in their homes and afford their retirement. We need to atack inflation head-on. No one working full time should worry about how they’ll afford health care, housing, or any other needs.
Jessica is determined to address these issues in Congress. She not only wants to find solutions to affordable healthcare, but is also a strong advocate for workers to ensure they can make a livable wage.
Unsurprisingly, 61% of respondents listed climate change as one of their top issues. Thankfully, Jessica is not only a climate champion, but has valuable experience preventing wildfires and working with both parties to defend our public lands here in California. We need climate champions now more than ever in Congress, especially as many leaders are trying to deregulate polluters and make the EPA less relevant.
Jessica knows how to use data and science to tackle climate change, and she will continue doing that for all of us in the House.
