John,
Biden is demanding Congress send $14.3 billion to Israel to be used for military purposes. When you ask yourself why Biden and Congress would barrel us towards another endless war in the Middle East – remember that war-mongering is profitable:
There’s a reason that for the first time in decades, Congress has bipartisan support on something that just so happens to line the pockets of corporate defense contractors. Earlier this year, Raytheon gave $15,000 each to the DCCC, DSCC, NRCC, and NRSC. In war, just like everything else, always follow the money.
There is no military solution to this conflict that spares innocent life and every member of Congress should oppose using any more of our taxpayer dollars to fund the Israeli military’s ethnic cleansing campaign.
We are on a crash course towards American involvement in another endless war that we had no business instigating in the first place. Our candidates are bravely calling for a ceasefire and we know they’ll face millions of dollars in attacks because of it.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
Do not worry if you cannot afford to make a contribution — we understand that this is a difficult time. There are other ways to make an impact in support of peace and equality in Israel and Palestine: please urge your member of Congress to support a ceasefire through Adalah Justice Project’s petition or by calling them using Jewish Voice for Peace’s dialer here. Your voice matters in this critical moment. |
