*Governor Parson Orders Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of Correctional Officer Kelly Bernard Rolando*
*(JEFFERSON CITY, MO)* ??Today, Governor Mike Parson ordered all U.S. and Missouri flags to fly at half-staff at Northeast Correctional Center, the Missouri Department of Corrections' headquarters in Jefferson City, and all government buildings in Pike County from sunrise to sunset on October 26, 2023, as a mark of respect for Missouri Correctional Officer Kelly Bernard Rolando.
"Correctional Officer Rolando leaves behind a legacy of selfless service to the people of Missouri,"* Governor Parson* said. "He provided seven years of faithful service to the State of Missouri, and we will forever be grateful for and remember?his dedication.?Teresa and I will be praying for his family as our hearts go out to them during this most difficult time."?
Correctional Officer Rolando is survived?by his parents who are both long-time Missouri Department of Corrections staff members who also work at Northeast Correctional Center.?
