After weeks of chaos and dysfunction, Mike Johnson, a far-right extremist Republican from Louisiana, was elected House Speaker. Unfortunately, Mike Johnson and Jim Jordan have a lot in common. Their extreme MAGA agenda earned them both the support of former President Trump. They are bad for Ohio and bad for the country.

Here is a look at Mike Johnson’s record:

❌ Architect of House GOP's efforts to overturn the 2020 election
❌ Supports a national abortion ban
❌ Opposes protections for same-sex marriage
❌ Supports Trump’s Muslim ban
❌ Supports cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security
❌ Voted AGAINST the Violence Against Women Act
❌ Voted AGAINST the Women's Health Protection Act

Not to mention, he built a legal career in Louisiana, opposing the basic civil rights and civil liberties of the LGBTQ+ community. And last fall, he introduced a national Don’t Say Gay Law.

Mike Johnson has the same deeply conservative agenda as Jim Jordan, and it will only bring harm to the American people. He is an election denier and an anti-choice MAGA extremist. We must be prepared to fight back.
