We’re writing to you with deeply troubling news: the Republican caucus has just elected extreme MAGA-Republican, Mike Johnson to be Speaker of the House.





That name might not set off any alarm bells, so let us tell you a little bit about his record:

Mike
Johnson
was
“the
most
important
architect”
of
the
House
Republican
attempt
to
steal
the
2020
election
for
Donald
Trump.
He
worked
behind
the
scenes
to
throw
out
the
legitimate
results
of
the
Electoral
College
and
overrule
the
choice
of
the
American
people.

Mike
Johnson
has
voted
to
ban
abortion
nationwide,
including
co-sponsoring
a
20-week
national
abortion
ban.

Mike
Johnson
authored
a
“Don’t
Say
Gay”
bill,
which
would
ban
schools
that
receive
federal
funding
from
discussing
“LGBT
topics”
with
children
under
age
10.
He
is
also
opposed
to
federal
recognition
and
protections
for
same-sex
marriage.







The MAGA-Republican caucus and Donald Trump know that they will get everything they want out of a Mike Johnson speakership, which is why we must take back the U.S. House next November, and make sure that we keep Donald Trump far away from the Oval Office. [[link removed]]

The selection of an anti-gay, election-denying, abortion extremist as Speaker is further proof that Republicans have no concern for the will of everyday Americans, respect for the rule of law, or sense of responsibility that our elected leaders must have.

Instead of ending the chaos in Washington D.C., Republicans have chosen to endorse it.

We have to put an end to the chaos by winning back the House and returning Democratic leadership to Washington D.C. [[link removed]] That means working right here in Maine to keep our two congressional seats blue and deliver all four Electoral College votes to put a Democrat back in the White House.

We need leaders who will respect the rule of law instead of using tricks to try to overturn elections and will focus on delivering for Maine people instead of fulfilling promises to a corrupt ex-President.
