As thousands of Israeli troops continue preparations for a potential
ground invasion of Gaza, we know that decisions made by leaders in both
Israel and the United States in the coming days will have major
repercussions for decades to come.

Tomorrow, October 26 at 12:30pm Eastern, we’re hosting a public briefing
to talk about the strategic challenges, security risks and major
humanitarian concerns ahead of a potential invasion. We’ll discuss the
implications for hostages held by Hamas, civilians trapped in Gaza and the
long-term ramifications for Israelis, Palestinians and the United States.

As both Congressman Crow and J Street have said, the United States must
support both Israel’s security and the humanitarian needs and safety of
Palestinian civilians.

We’ll also be joined by two respected Israeli security analysts. Noa
Shusterman-Dvir is the Palestinian and Regional Program Director at MIND
Israel, and Nimrod Novik is a member of the Executive Committee of
Commanders for Israel’s Security and a fellow of the Israel Policy Forum.
