Fellow Conservative,

For the past five years, I’ve enjoyed my experience working alongside Congressman Mike Johnson in the House Judiciary Committee and the Republican Study Committee.

The son of a firefighter from rural Louisiana, Mike’s a God-fearing and principled man who can unite our conference moving forward. Mike had my support on the floor this afternoon, and I wish him success as the 56th Speaker of the House.

I will hold Speaker Johnson accountable to the same standards I held Speaker McCarthy to during his tenure, and Mike would expect that from me.

Now the work continues.

Since January, I have intentionally strayed from focusing on the specific personalities running for leadership, rather pushing for institutional changes and substantive action; action that will deliver on promises we made to the American people when we won the majority last November.

There is a historic opportunity before House Republicans to unite and go fight for the American people getting run over by the Biden Administration and their failed policies. This includes:
* Securing the Southern Border
* Reining in Reckless Deficit Spending
* Ending Woke DoD Policies
* Holding Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas Accountable
* Checking Weaponized Government
