I have gotten up (11 times now) to nominate Hakeem Jeffries as the next Speaker of the House of Representatives. The chaos we’re seeing on the House Floor isn’t the history any of us wanted to make when we were sworn into office. Each member of the House Democratic Caucus serves because they want to deliver for the American people. Instead of getting to work for the people by delivering national security aid, protecting our fundamental rights, and keeping the lights on by funding the government the House has been held hostage by extremism and partisanship.
