Patriot,
Right now, the Senate is voting on amendments to a budget bill -
one of which is Sen. Rand Paul's Audit the Fed amendment!
It's impossible to overstate how critical this bill is. Auditing
the Federal Reserve is the long-running battle Campaign for
Liberty has fought for ever since Ron Paul founded C4L in 2008.
And along the way, one thing has always been critical: getting
lawmakers on record with roll call votes.
Why? Because putting lawmakers on record tells us who is with us
and who is against us. It allows us to know who we need to call
out in their districts. It allows us to mobilize voters and
inform them where their lawmakers actually stand on this vital
issue.
Soon, C4L will be launching our 2024 Candidate Survey program,
which helps us know which candidates stand with us on the issues
(information we always pass on to our supporters).
But having a recorded roll call vote is much more reliable than a
campaign promise.
That's why, even though we don't support the underlying bill,
getting a roll call vote is critical.
That's why it's so important you call your senators right now and
make your voice heard.
Senator Paul's Audit the Fed bill - the same bill sponsored in
the U.S. House for years by our chairman, Ron Paul - will be
offered as Amendment 1217 to an appropriations bill.
This is our chance to get a roll call vote on Audit the Fed in
the Senate!
The last time we had a recorded vote on Audit the Fed in the
Senate, the makeup of the Senate was very different.
WE NEED YOU TO CALL BOTH YOUR U.S. Senators RIGHT NOW, and tell
them to vote YES on Amendment 1217 . . .
. . . and NO on the "minibus" appropriations bill.
Call your U.S. Senators right now at (202) 224-3121. This is the
number for the switchboard - ask to be connected to one of your
U.S. Senators, then call back for the other.
Tell your senators to vote "yes" on Amendment 1217 and to support
government transparency.
This is extremely time sensitive. Be sure you call both of your
U.S. Senators RIGHT AWAY.
Thanks for all you do,
John McCardell
Executive Director, Campaign for Liberty
P.S. This is the first time in years Audit the Fed gets a roll
call vote in the U.S. Senate - and it could be TODAY. Be sure you
call your U.S. Senators IMMEDIATELY and tell them to support
Amendment 1217!
