Both of my sisters are public school teachers. I've seen how America's schools and teachers are the foundation of our nation's success. I reject cuts to education funding and proudly support rebuilding our schools and investing in our kids and future. Providing a quality education to our children is hands down the most impactful thing we can do.

Wouldn't it be nice if our Secretary of Education agreed?

With unparalleled consistency, Betsy DeVos has pursued a ruthless agenda that's destructive to our public schools, students and teachers.

1. Her first budget proposed cutting $9.2 billion - or 13.6% - of the education department's budget.
2. DeVos spent millions on charter schools that closed or never opened. Then attempted a redirect of $1 billion to promote private and charter schools.
3. DeVos has sided with wealthy interests and corporations - she even tried to cut after-school programs for low-income students and funding for mental health services.
4. DeVos made it easier for shady, for-profit colleges to get away with defrauding student borrowers.

She came into the job with no real or positive experience in education, and honestly, it's time for her to move on. Sign the petition and demand her resignation.

DeVos must resign. Sign the petition.

We cannot allow her to continue putting students and our public education system on the backburner.
