Downtown walking tour and social next week

We have two exciting events on Wednesday, November 1 downtown. At 4pm we will start a walking tour at Ruth Asawa's Fountain of the privately owned public open spaces (POPOS). We will talk about the future of downtown and how housing might come into that. At 5:30pm we will have our happy hour at Pagan Idol.

Let's make our streets safer

YIMBY Action member Michael Sacks wrote urging SFMTA to install speed cameras faster. Speed cameras were just legalized in San Francisco and are a tool to help keep our streets safe by enforcing vehicle speed limits in where there are lots of pedestrians and potential for deadly collisions. Please share the op-ed and petition with your networks and join us in calling on SFMTA to share its plan with the public on how we can accelerate safety.

Celebrate housing on religious land

Join Senator Scott Wiener, the SF Interfaith Council, the Nonprofit Housing Association of Northern California, and others to celebrate SB 4, the Yes in God's Back Yard bill. Religious communities across San Francisco are excited to use their property to address the housing crisis and help people in need.
