John, GOP radicals are working night and day to enact an extremist Republican agenda where abortion rights are stripped away, the right to vote is weakened, LGBTQ+ Americans are discriminated against, gun safety legislation is blocked, and thousands of books are banned.

Fortunately, Democratic governors are working tirelessly to protect and expand your rights and veto dangerous pieces of legislation.

In Illinois, we have enshrined reproductive rights into state law, passed a nation-leading climate plan, raised the minimum wage, expanded access to affordable health care, and signed legislation preventing libraries from banning or restricting access to books — the first-in-the-nation ban on book bans.

To ensure our democracy continues to have the protection it needs, the DGA and I need to hear from folks like you. Your support helps us continue to put our best foot forward: protecting our Democratic firewall, responding to the GOP’s relentless attacks, strengthening the infrastructure we’ll need to win, and most importantly, reelecting and electing Democratic governors across the country.
