John,
Did you read our hard-hitting and widely-covered “The High Cost of High Turnover” report that detailed the extent to which election officials in the western United States are leaving the profession?
The findings of the report were staggering and, frankly, alarming. That’s why we’re continuing to sound the alarm about this important issue by bringing in members of our Faces of Democracy campaign from some of these states to talk about what they’re seeing.
Join us on Wednesday, November 1, at 1pm ET for “The High Cost of High Turnover: How the Departure of Election Officials Will Impact the 2024 Elections” — a special event with Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, King County, WA Director of Elections Julie Wise, and former Utah County, UT Clerk Josh Daniels. They’ll discuss the trends in election administrator turnover and the impact of this exodus on the 2024 election. We’ll dig into the findings of Issue One’s research, discuss what Congress can do to support election officials, and explore ways to ensure election offices are fully staffed in 2024.
This is a crisis for our democracy. We will continue to stand with election workers and get them the support they need so they can continue to administer free and fair elections that are safe and secure.
We hope you can join us,
Liz Cassin Campaigns Manager
P.S. Please note that we will be recording this event so those unable to watch live can still be part of the conversation. Make sure to RSVP to receive the link to the recording.
