AP: The World Health Organization says nearly two-thirds of Gaza’s health facilities have ceased functioning

UNFPA aid in Gaza

First, generous supporters like you stepped up with emergency gifts in response to the escalating crisis in the Gaza Strip. The cumulative reported fatality toll among Palestinians in Gaza surpassed 5,000 this week, 62% of whom are women and children. About 1,500 people have been reported missing and are presumed to be trapped or dead under the rubble.

Then, the Rafah crossing with Egypt opened which allowed the entry of a limited number of trucks carrying food, water, and medical supplies into Gaza — including critical UNFPA aid funded by your generous gifts.

But the conflict has impacted 34 healthcare facilities, causing damage to 19 hospitals and the destruction of 24 ambulances, pushing Gaza's healthcare system to the edge of collapse.

We can't afford to turn our gaze away, especially with 123,000 pregnant women displaced and 13,649 expected to give birth in the next month while critical healthcare becomes increasingly inaccessible.

Will you make an emergency humanitarian gift today to support women and girls surviving this crisis and crises around the world? Your gifts are making a difference in the darkest of times.
