Instead of rallying behind a moderate member willing to collaborate across the aisle to ensure governmental functionality, House Republicans keep picking far-right nominees. This shift not only exacerbates the existing partisan divide but also threatens the essence of our democratic discourse.
147 Republican House members voted to overturn the 2020 presidential election results, further perpetuating the Big Lie and undermining the voices of everyday Americans. These representatives shouldn't even be in Congress, much less lead the chamber and be third in line to the presidency. Congress should not reward complicity in an insurrection with a position of power.
